Nicole Croy
Nicole Croy, an Indiana-born photographer, draws much of her artistic inspiration from her upbringing, deeply influenced by her father’s passion for nature and her mother’s artistic background. Her work is largely centered around what she affectionately calls the “forest floor,” utilizing natural elements like leaves, flowers, bones, mushrooms, feathers, and seedpods, all of which she gathers and preserves. Specializing in the lumen and cyanotype processes, she brings these objects to life in her art. Nicole earned her Master of Art from The University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She currently teaches a range of photography courses at Carroll High School, including darkroom, digital, and alternative processes, while also teaching photography and 3D art at the collegiate level.
